ANOTHER USE FOR SODA BOTTLE CAPS

While I like the ease of using the hand pumps that come on many soaps and lotions, I do find it frustrating trying to get to the last bit of product in the bottom of the container. I have tried turning the bottle up-side-down in a plastic cup and various other methods to allow gravity to bring the remaining  contents to the bottle opening, but the pump makes these maneuvers precarious and off-balance. I did find a solution in a soda bottle cap. I removed the pump from my nearly-empty bottle of lotion and searched through my collection of plastic lids until I found one that would fit the threading on the bottle-in this case, a soda bottle cap. This solution has worked beautifully! The remaining lotion is right where I can get to it, the bottle does not take up any more space on my shelf than it did in its upright position, and there is no mess. 🙂
